Podcast: Top 5 for 2015

Klay Thompson WallpaperThe Warriors are at the top of nearly every possible ranking through the first quarter of the season.

Golden State has a 26-1 record, opened the year with 24 consecutive victories (the longest streak in league history) while playing with the most efficient offense and the eighth most efficient defense in the league.

The team even avenged its lone loss of the season, by posting a 121-112 victory over Milwaukee Friday night.

The MVP front runner is the player that won the award last season, as point guard Stephen Curry leads the league in scoring at 31.8 points per game, leads the NBA in 3-point field goals made for the fourth straight season and is on the verge of joining the 50/40/90 club.

The only controversy coming out of Golden State stems from a statement made by Klay Thompson, as he claimed to be the best shooting guard in the league.

With averages of 19.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists per game, Thompson will likely earn his second-straight All-Star appearance.

Thompson ranks fifth in the league with 80 made shots from 3-point range and is connecting on 43.7 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc.
