Twitter Takeover
A few weeks before the trade deadline there were rumors about the impending power that was to be “handed over” to Orlando’s superstar, Dwight Howard. That was until the All-star center opted out of his release and decided to stick around in central Florida. The talks of who was actually steering the wheel as to the future of the Magic died down. That was until this past week. Of course, the Twitter world was buzzing.
Will the Orlando Empire Survive?
What story you ask? The story of how Van Gundy was told Dwight Howard wants him out of Orlando.
Howard denied these allegations.

But who is right and who is wrong? The only thing we know for certain is that it’s not over yet.
The clock on Van Gundy’s coaching career in Orlando is dwindling down fast.
Is Patrick Ewing next in line? Can he handle it even if the opportunity was presented to him?
Even with all this apparent back-stabbing, Van Gundy is taking it in stride.
He may be taking it a little too well in stride.
You have to respect someone who has taken a social beating like this.
Van Gundy has to be considered a stand-up guy for not feeding in to the media-fueled debate.
Either way you look at, Howard is obviously not going to come out of this very easily.
And now the trade deadline series of events is being brought up again.
Well, it may be safe that if everything does fall out from underneath Van Gundy, he has something to look forward to.

#4 It’s Green Week in the NBA, however, old traditions die hard and don’t ever plan on the Los Angeles wearing green. Dave McMenamin has the scoop so follow him.
#3 If you missed the dunk Blake Griffin had on Pau Gasol (both of them) you need to watch them. This tweet will make more sense that way. And you can get more from the author of this tweet, Russ Bengtson, by clicking here.
#2 You knew we couldn’t leave without some jokes at the expense of Dwight Howard. But not every one is a Howard-hater. Or are they? Follow the Farmer Jones here.
#1 Myles Brown compares the aftermath of the Howard debacle to divorce. Sadly enough, he’s quite accurate. Do yourself a favor and follow him here.
