Fantasy Basketball Stability In Mil-Town

The Milwaukee Bucks took a hard blow when Andrew Bogut went down indefinitely with an ankle injury. Post scoring has been picked up by committee led by Drew Gooden. However, starting power forward Ersan Ilyasova has been giving the Bucks production in both points and rebounds even with a struggling team.

By the numbers, Ilyasova is producing as much as Bogut was before he was injured. The 6-foot-10 power forward is averaging 10.8 point per game and 8.7 rebounds per game to Bogut’s 11.3 and 8.3.

Since Bogut was taken out of the Milwaukee line-up Ilyasova has been putting up 13.2 points and 9.4 rebounds.

Ilyasova is statistically having the best year of his four-year career with the Bucks. The last time he averaged over 10 point a game the Bucks made the playoffs, taking the Atlanta Hawks all the way to a game seven before being eliminated. He led the Bucks in total rebounds while only getting just over 22 minutes per game to do so.

The 24-year-old is maintaining Milwaukee’s low post presence and is only being used in 72% of Y! Fantasy Basketball leagues.
