Fantasy Basketball Injury Report

New York anticipated Amar’e Stoudemire to miss portions of the 66-game regular season, probably not this early though.

As the Knicks wrap up their lone visit to the west coast, after falling to the Warriors and Lakers, Stoudemire will miss tonight’s game against Sacramento as he nurses a sprained ankle.Fantasy owners will have to look outside of New York to find a serviceable option.

The Knicks have entertained the idea of starting Carmelo Anthony at the power forward position, with only newly signed three-point specialist Steve Novak and rookie second round pick Josh Harrellson as the only available backup forwards.

The Knicks will have to find someone to fill in for Stoudemire, as the 29-year-old forward is averaging 17.3 points, six rebounds, two steals per game and has knocked down all three of his attempts from long range this season.
